
1998 American Cowboy Culture Award for Ranching

The American Cowboy Culture Association, Inc held it's ninth annual American Cowboy Culture Awards in Lubbock, Texas. It is a celebration and exploration of the traditions of the American Frontier. Cowboy poets, musicians, storytellers, artists, historians, authors, editors, publishers, photographers, cooks, and cowboys attend this, the largest presentation in the U.S. of ranching, cowboys and the western way of life. Several celebrities attended the award show including Barry Corbin who hosted the festivities. Our ranch manager, Weldon Hawley accepted the award for ranching on behalf of the W. T. Waggoner Estate from Dr. Walter Bishop. Other winners for 1998 are:
