1997 - Eddie Browder Hill
"Eddie Browder
Hill" - One of those nicknamed places on the
ranch.
- It's just an ole hill! Interesting folklore that
we tend to lose over time. Along FM 1763 a small,
but noticeable bluff crops out from the rolling
plains in the McDuff Linecamp. Back in the 50's
and 60's during a cattle drive, cowboy Eddie
Browder was setting horse back on top of this
hill. For at least one family on the ranch this
landmark became known as Eddie Browder hill.
People come and go and Eddie is no longer with
us. He worked for Buster Wharton with his polo
horses years ago before moving to Australia.
